Information on Battery Disposal

In connection with the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, we are required to inform you of the
following:

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

You may return used batteries—specifically those types we stock or have stocked as new batteries—to us at your own expense
or return them free of charge to our dispatch warehouse (shipping address). Alternatively, you can hand the batteries in at local
collection points.

As an end-user, you are legally required to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or disposed of properly.

Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if stored or disposed of improperly.
However, batteries also contain valuable raw materials—such as iron, zinc, manganese, or nickel—that can be recovered.

The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings:

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.

For batteries containing specific amounts of lead, cadmium, or mercury, the following chemical symbols appear below the
crossed-out wheeled bin symbol to indicate the presence of these substances:

Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass

Information regarding the costs involved, in accordance with Article 56(4) of the EU Battery Regulation (Regulation 2023/1542),
can be found via the "Batterie-Zurück" initiative.
